What's new for 2010? Well we have set up the British Amateur Tour and moved the Premier Pool Tour from the Midlands and based it solely in the North.  We filled the former tour in record time and were heavily oversubscribed due to the massive  £1000 winners cheque on offer at each event.  The PPT which is now in its 5th year has attracted players from all over the North and Midlands and will take in exciting new clubs, including JJ Faul's club in Liverpool.

Five people worked very hard producing world class events for PPP, Darren, James Hardy, Dan Rush, Steve Hewlett and Richard Needham. Running events all over the UK has taken a lot of time and dedication but the players have supported us 100% and flocked to our events in their droves.  2010 promises to take PPP to new levels and build on the success we've had over recent years.

We have run events all over the North East, North West and the Midlands and have been running events for in excess of six years.  This experience means we try to put events on that attract players of varying abilities from the top pro down to young lads trying to break in to pool.  We make every attempt to not clash out events with major organisations like the EPA, EBA or the WEPF World Championships.  If top players like Gareth Potts, Adam Davis, Chris Melling, Kev Barton, Lee Kendall, Carl Morris, Neil Davey and Liam Farrell all entering many Premier Pool Promotions events it shows we are doing something right.  We have also attracted the likes of Bayden Jackson (England), Rob Wharne (National Amateur Finalist), Liam Stanley (England), Mark White (top amateur) along with many top under 21's and youth players including Liam White (England U21 Captain) Craig Lakin, Jack Whelan, Clint I Anson, Paul Pickering, Craig Day and others.  All our major events sell out within a couple of weeks of being advertised and even the players who go out in the early chance often enter the lucrative plate events as a second chance to get in the money stages. Many players who enter the events have experience at the highest levels with nearly 50% playing on the IPA tour at some stage, many still current players.

Entries are now being taken for the 2010 North West Open 8-Ball Pool Championships and entry to this event is guaranteed only to the first 64 players who pay the £20 entry fee. With a prize fund of over £1,200 on the day this one is not too be missed and places are available on a first-come first-served basis only.

The event is on Saturday 22nd May 2010 and once again will be held at Dishers Pool & Snooker Club, South Street, Crewe, Cheshire, CW2 6HL.

All matches will be played to full World rules, best of 11 frames, with prize money paid to the Last 16 and a free entry cash prize plate event for all competitors who lose in the opening rounds.

Premier Pool Promotions, in association with Eclipse Tattoo Studios, present the 2010 British Amateur Pool Open. Your chance to become one of the top amateur players in the country and pick up the £2,000 first prize.

Alongside the successful British Amateur Tour the Open event is another chance for amateur pool players to compete at the highest level and for prize monies not usually available exclusively to this level of the sport. The tournament is open to all players who have been amateurs since the beginning of 2008 and, subject to availability, you can qualify for the tournament from a venue near you.

Initial places are offered to tour players and PPP tournament players, after which there will be a series of qualifying events (subject to availability) for the opportunity of non-tour players to take part in the event. The Open will take place at Players Pool & Snooker Lounge, Queens Parade, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire ST5 1RW over the weekend of 25th-26th September 2010 with rounds 1 to 3 played on the Saturday and the prize money rounds on Sunday. If you’re fortunate enough to battle through the opening day rounds you’re guaranteed to pick up £100 on the Sunday and have a shot at that £2,000 first prize. All matches will be played to full World rules with the Saturday matches best of 11 frames and Sunday’s games played over the best of 13 frames. The venue is just north of Stoke-on-Trent and, for those using public transport, is just a short taxi ride from Stoke train station.

Players requiring overnight accommodation should contact Lee Kendall at the venue on 01782 660246 for deals on local hotels/guest houses near the club. Please note that there will be a dress code of dark trousers, dark shoes and shirt with a collar enforced on the Sunday.

Over £5,000 total prize fund! As well as the £2,000 on offer to the winner there will be £800 given to the runner-up, £350 for the Semi-Finalists and £200 paid to the Quarter-Finalists, plus £100 to the Last 16 placed players. There will also be a £10-a-player amateur flyer on the Sunday, open to all amateur-qualified players who miss out on the prize money stages of the main event, paid out in prize money on an all-in all-out basis.
