Introduction In 2008 The
Premier Pool Tour (our flagship tour) is in its third season.
During 2008 Premier Pool Promotions secured a sponsorship deal with
8 N 9 Clothing for the Premier Pool Tour.

Steve Williams and Darren Finch brought
8n9.com and the Premier Pool Tour together
This
sponsorship deal is great news for events like the Premier Pool
Tour. Beyond that Premier Pool Promotions is also looking to expand
its events for 2009 to new levels so please keep visiting the site
for all our events next year.
Although many
people won't be aware many of the events they have entered run by
Darren Finch have been Premier Pool Promotions events. Darren has
established PPP from fairly humble beginnings by his own admission.
It was a hard road for Darren who has run events all over the North
of England and without having a car its truly amazing the dedication
that he has put into English Pool. During this time we have seen
the birth of many tours and event. PPP boasts the Premier Pool Tour
which is a massive flagship event in the PPP calendar and has
attracted many top names over the last three years.
We have run
events all over the North East, North West and the Midlands and have
been running events for in excess of five years. This
experience means we try to put events on that attract players of
varying abilities from the top pro down to young lads trying to
break in to pool. We make every attempt to not clash out
events with major organisations like the EPA, EBA or the WEPF World
Championships. If top players like Gareth Potts, Adam Davis,
Aaron Roberts, Lee Kendall, Carl Morris, Neil Davey and Liam Farrell
all entering many Premier Pool Promotions events it shows we are
doing something right. We have also attracted the likes of
Bayden Jackson (England), Rob Wharne (National Amateur Finalist),
Liam Stanley (England), Mark White (top amateur) along with many top under 21's and youth
players including Liam White (England U21 Captain) Craig Lakin,
Clint I Anson, Paul Pickering, Craig Day and others. All our
major events sell out within a couple of weeks of being advertised
and even the players who go out in the early chance often enter the
lucrative plate events as a second chance to get in the money
stages. Many players who enter the events have experience at the
highest levels with nearly 50% playing on the IPA tour at some
stage, many still current players.

Premier Pool Promotions, in association with
8n9.com - The Sports Clothing Company, are pleased to announce
preliminary details for the 2009 8n9.com Premier Pool Tour.
As previous seasons the tour will be played around the midlands and
north west of England however we will be introducing new venues and
a change of format to the Grand Final and are confident we will
provide the country's top semi-national tour for 8-ball pool players
and, very possibly, the cheapest!

tour shirt) and for this players will play at 4 events followed by a
Grand Final, as follows.....

Another
Success
PPP hailed
their recent North West Open as one of their best yet. The
event got the unanimous vote of confidence from a very happy 73
strong field and PPP used many new initiatives which made life
easier for the players. With only 9 tables used for the event
and a 10.15am start time The North West Open reached the final for
10pm which is astounding considering the massive amount of games
played during the day. The deserved winner was Lee Kendall
beating a fantastic performer Daryl Fallows 6-5 in a closely
contested final. Daryl had ousted fellow Cheshire player Dave
Preece making a comeback from 5-2 down and Lee edged out Gareth
Potts conqueror Mark White who surely would make professional if he
ever chooses to go down that route. When asked about the event
tournament director Darren Finch beamed "Fantastic day
and a big thanks to all the players who attended, and also to Dave
and everyone at Dishers for hosting the event".
This event was so badly oversubscribed that even after the draw had
been released more players were enquiring about entry. Dave
Preece had never expected such huge interest and it is testament to
his wonderful club that this event was possible. The staff
were rushed off their feet from the Friday night flier through til
late on the Saturday night. (see
results).

Students get
15% discount
On the 08/05/08
Premier Pool Promotions announced a big student promotion that will
help the next generation of English Pool Players. The PPP will be
granting students a 15% discount on all advertised entry fee's with
production of a valid current student union card. This is a long
term commitment to all students from PPP and will hopefully see the
younger pool players prosper. Please note this offer must be
specified to the tournament director when entering as prove of
eligibility will be required. This offer can't be used
in conjunction with any other offer. For example if you are a
student and the event has a half price for students offer you can
only claim one offer, not both. If you order an event
online you must state when ordering that you are a student in the
feedback and you will still have to pay full price, you will be
refunded at the event.
