The 2008 Leicester Open 8-Ball Pool Championships

Entries are now being taken for this tournament, to be held at one of the midlands top cue sports venues on Saturday 1st November 2008, and as always players are guaranteed a great day of English pool for a very competitive entry fee. Pool players from around the midlands, north west and south of England are expected for this event and places are strictly limited and available on a first come first served basis. Once its full no further places will be available so enter early to avoid disappointment!

Date: Saturday 1st November 2008

Venue: Club 147 Pool & Snooker Club, 1st & 2nd Floor, 171 Belgrave Gate, Leicester LE1 3HS. Tel: 0116 2620942. The venue is just a short walk from Leicester railway station and is ideally located from the city centre. Leicester is also located ideal geographically and is easily accessible from most parts of the country.

As well as the obvious excellent pool on show the club also boasts other features to make the day even more entertaining.

Draw: To be made in advance. All players will be notified of there individual start times and the full draw will be published in advance on uk8ball.com, premierpoolpromotions.co.uk and various regional websites.

Format: First round matches commencing at 11am sharp (Doors open 10am). All matches played to full World Rules, best of 11 frames. Players will lag for break. All players will be contacted with their start times and must register at the time given.

Winner £350
Runner-up £200
Semi-Finalists £100
Quarter-Finalists £50
Last 16 £20
Cash prize plate event for all players who do not reach the Last 16 of main event
All prize money to be paid out on the day of event.

Dress Code: There is no dress code for this event.

All of our previous 64 player events filled up very quickly so dont miss out!.
